"Time for a gold ruble?" Writer Asks

At least one editorial writer thinks it's time for restoration of precious metal currency -- albeit in this case in Russia. John Laughland, writing for RIA Novosti (the Russian News and Information Agency), suggests the creation of a "gold ruble" as a means of stabilizing the purchasing power of Russia's currency.
