Utah Senate Passes Gold And Silver Currency Bill

The Utah Senate has passed First Substitute H.B. 317 (which I reported on previously here) and sent the bill recognizing U.S. gold and silver coins as legal tender to the governor for signature.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune article linked here, the legislation would recognize the gold or silver value of the coins rather than their face value.
